"If you are going through hell, keep going." - Winston Churchill
First off, I want to thank you for checking out AppraiserTalk.com! I have been a real property appraisal for quite a while now. Wow, over a decade. It’s like birthdays, we don’t like to talk about them much as we realize that we have turned into our parent(s) and doing the math hurts (the brain) too much. Sigh, forever stuck at 32, in my head that is!Okay, I digressed there. When I started, paper reports, times three, were sent via snail mail and computers to write reports just began. One of drawbacks, was finding all the information online, tax records, counties, zoning, etc. It would have saved a lot of time if I were able to find a website that had the links and the information needed for the reports. Additionally, updated information relevant to our profession is out there but scattered throughout the Internet.Which brings us here. I have constructed this website to make it easier for you, as a real property appraiser and other professionals that we meet, to find relative information needed in our field. I know it is not perfect and it will not meet all of your needs in a one stop spot, but I will be working on it daily to get it as close as I can to be useful.
Want to help?
As with any project, it cannot be done alone and in a vacuum. I would love to have your input, recommendations, and contributions of your favorite websites, photos for the Gallery, and your great stories; good or bad, for our Appraiser Tales. There are articles throughout the website; Education, Organizations, Techniques that may save you time. Additionally, recommendations from others, their experiences, tools of the trade, software, etc. are always helpful. As I am a U.S. Veteran, I have created; Veteran’s Corner, with information that might be useful for Veterans and a Travel Tips page to assist in your fun time. As there is a Newsletter, you can subscribe to it anytime. Note: I do not sell or share your information with no-one. Thank you in advance for sharing your experiences and knowledge.
As you can see, there is advertising throughout the website and with our Newsletter. This helps with the cost of this website and keeps the website and the Newsletter FREE for you. “Free” is ALWAYS a good thing! Let me know if you are interested or someone you know who may be interested in advertising with AppraiserTalk.com!Again, Thank You for visiting and I look forward to ‘hearing’ from you. Be Safe! Sincerely,Steven NorthousecommentsAT@AppraiserTalk.com
